Women's Rights
The movement for women's rights, such as the right to vote and the right to enter professions, was heavily criticised by many men, and some women, during the 19th century. This printed handkerchief shows a series of scenes mocking the idea of women's rights, showing men left holding babies and performing domestic tasks; while women are shown in judges' robes and other garb that was exclusively male at this time.
