Crystal Palace
This handkerchief was produced as a souvenir for the Great Exhibition of 1851. The exhibition showcased the best modern art, design and technology. It was held in Hyde Park, London, in the 'Crystal Palace' designed by Sir Joseph Paxton. Over six million people visited it, and souvenirs of this sort were popular among visitors.
