Riverside scene of houses and warehouses
Samuel Scott's drawing depicts buildings and warehouses on the banks of the River Thames. A grey wash has been used to block in the masses of the buildings. Some steps can be seen on the left leading down to the loosely-sketched boats by the riverbank in the foreground.
This is likely to be a preliminary study for a larger painting by Scott.
