Archaeological textile . Baby's stocking in brown wool, early 16th century. Catalogue notes by Lesley O'Connell Edwards: Incomplete baby’s wool stocking knitted in the round. The top part is missing as is much of the leg. The short row garter stitch heel shaping is visible, but damaged. The foot is complete, as is the toe shaping. Average tension 4.5 stitches and 6 rounds per cm.
