Child's dress
Child's (girl's) dress in brown silk and velvet. Pleated afromwaistband. Low shaped neckline. Short sleeves. WIde brown velvet bands down each side of front, then following hemline round back. Velvet over sleeves at shoulder. White lace at neck edge with black silk cord to gather for fit. Lined in white stiffened canvas like gauze (linen? with top lined in glazed cotton. Fastened with six metal hooks (brass?) and fabric loops at top centre back. Hem with brown (cotton) piping at edge.
