Tweezers
Copper alloy tweezers/forceps, terminating in an unguent spoon or ligula (spoon) at the other end.
Recovered from the Walbrook stream bed, close to eastern edge.
These tweezers may have been used as surgical forceps or for domestic hygiene and beautification. Likewise the ligula may have been used as a surgical probe or for extracting ointments, medicaments, make-ups and powders from tubes and boxes or even for cleaning ears.
