Waistcoat
A man's waistcoat, fronts of gold coloured (cream) silk damask weave. Double breasted with deep horseshoe opening and curved revers, no collar. Six buttonholes with three mother-of-pearl buttons, straight edged hem. Line in white cotton / linen. Back in two pieces of double thickness linen with unjapanned metal buckle and strap at back waist. Mostly hand sewn, professionally made. Stamped on buckle: "SOLIDE / PARIS". Condition; silk good, three buttons missing; linen back very badly iron-mould stained. Inside of neck embroidered in red thread with ' LE II ZO' (?). Hand stitchING along the top of the neck at the back.
