Bodice, train
White silk brocade bodice in two pieces, opens centre front; trimmed with lace-enriched robings. Robings sewn to back waist trimmed with a silver-gilt button; elbow length sleeves with three attached lace-trimmed ruffles. Back in three pieces, the centre piece roughly triangular; centre back piece lined with linen; all other pieces lined cream silk tabby. Skirt of two widths of brocade pleated onto side and centre back of bodice. Brocade has 14 different colours of silk thread used. Flowers depict hops, barley, anemones, ranunculi and clematis.
