Hat, top hat
Black beaverskin top hat with black wool hatband. Underside of brim lined with black wool. Hat is lined in off-white (cream) silk, with a band of brown calfskin leather around the inside. The inside of the crown is covered with watered silk printed with a coat of arms with 'extra best quality' written above, below this the name of the owner J.A. Cockerell is written in blue ink.
