Skirt, dress skirt
Silk taffeta in deep purple with fine black stripe in warp (two narrow bands of black close together and each edged by a single brown warp thread). Stripes are 1 cm apart. Cut from eight straight panels with fullness gathered into waistband with flat side pleats either side of small centre front plain section. Tight gathers at centre back. Side opening on left, pocket in right side seam and small watch pocket in waistband. Hem lined and braided with violet silk velvet. Hand stitched.
