Bodice
Dark green satin woven with leaf pattern in gold and crimson. Bodice with wide low square neck. Fronts each in one section, pleated at centre over fitting, boned, green cotton satin lining. Back in six shaped sections. Pointed waist. Very full puffed dark red velvet sleeves. Same velvet trimming at neck and waist. Inside waistband fastening with hook and eye. Separate skirt, flat in front, shaped with darts on hips, pleated very flared and cut in train at centre back. Red satin ruching at hem. Waistband stamped: "Henry Dobb/Costume and Mantle Maker/6,7,9,13,15 & 17 Westbourne Grove, W". Condition: very good.
