Bodice
Bodice for dress ensemble, one of two. Blue cotton chambray with standing collar and leg-of-mutton sleeves trimmed with machine lace at collar and cuffs. Straight lower half of the sleeves, and the collar, are of a lighter blue chambray woven with mock lace insertions in white. CF opening with 21 white glass or mother of pearl buttons in white cotton buttonholes. Gathered front and back at neck and waist, where fullness is controlled by a row of straight running stitches about two inches from lower edge. Lower CF closes with 3 brass hooks and eyes. Lined with white cotton. Slightly dropped shoulder seams.
