Prince Albert of Saxe Coburg and Gotha
Print engraved with a portrait of Prince Albert of Saxe Coburg and Gotha on horseback. Published February 3rd 1840, a week before Albert married Queen Victoria. The print is numbered 'No 28 Horses'. Such portraits of heroic, allegorical and historical figures would have been sold plain for colouring and tinselling at home.
