One of two pockets, worn by donor's mother-in-law.
Pockets of History catalogue notes:The front of this pocket is made of cotton woven in fine ribs, intricate stems, leaves and flowers with borders of smaller flowers and basket weave round the opening and pocket edges. This pocket has two inner pockets, made by sewing one piece of satin weave cotton to the inner back to form two compartments. The back of the pocket is made of satin weave cotton. It is marked in ink with the initials ‘E A C'. This pocket front is one of a group of seven identical fronts in the survey: Hampshire Museums Service CRH.1975.16, Hereford HSS 2339, Museum of London 32.112/2, Killerton House (National Trust) Kil.W.03596A, Private Collection.
