Letter head
A letter from W. R. Cunis Ltd, a lighterage and haulage company, addressed to the Assistant Engineer at the Victoria Docks in Newham, referring to damage caused to the dock pier head by one of the company's vessels. William Ryan Curtis, had a number of sites along the Thames including the Albion Wharf, Blackfriars, and owned a fleet of sailing barges as well as lighters, tugs etc. The company's flag is printed on the letter head. W. R. Curtis was still enaged in waste disposal until the 1980s.
