Roman — Roman
Needle
A copper alloy needle, with a rectangular eye at each end and a flattened shaft. Tapering sharply to a point at one end and terminating in a rounded end at the other.
Needles came in all shapes and sizes and were an important part of domestic and craft life. Many clothes were made in the home but weavers and cloth-workers also needed them for their work.
