Cape, pelerine
Black lace pelerine made of handmade of linen, and perhaps machine-made embroidered silk net. Cape like shape at back with pendant ends in front. The cape is made from two pieces; the lappets from three pieces. Inside edge of 'cape' has a frill. Probably professionally made-up. Condition: fabric splitting quite badly in a warp direction indicating a weak weft thread (therefore machine made (?)).
