Fan with off-white (cream) silk leaf. Catalogue note by Natalie Rothstein: Cream silk leaf with central printed scene of figures of 1780s in interior setting, within a frame of gold sequins. On either side a simllar oval printed country scene with figures, also edged with sequins, and sprays of handpainted flowers. Green and gold painted border at top. Bone sticks and guards, pierced, carved and painted in gold with inset small silver metal circles. Right guard decoration more complex than left. Gold metal loop with surface decoration.
