Bag
Rounded chatelaine bag of black corded silk trimmed with piping. Back and front are both in one section. Bag features a repoussé silver(?) frame, with "VR" on catch; hook for attaching to belt. Two compartments inside. Black satin lining.
The frame has the makers mark IIF for Jan Jacob Fels, the location mark for Kampen, Holland (triangle in circle); the date mark C for 1810 and the number 10 for '10 penningen' or 833.33 fineness. The hook has three further markes on the back but they are partially washed off and so far it has not been able to identify them.
