Social History — 2005
Wristband, charity wristband
White silicon wristband, embossed with the words 'MAKE POVERTY HISTORY' and 'Oxfam' with the Oxfam logo of a ribbon. In the run up to the 2005 G8 Summit at Gleneagles, Oxfam posted these white bands to supporters as part of the 'Make Poverty History' campaign, with the intention that people should wear them on 1 July 2005 to show their support. This band was sent to a couple in London who were regular Oxfam donors, and did indeed wear the wristband on 1 July.
