Bottle
Small stoneware ink bottle found on an archaeological excavation in Church Street, Isleworth, close to Kew Gardens. It is stamped with a maker's mark showing it was made at the Codnor Park pottery in Nottingham. Small bottles like this usually held ink or blacking, a product used to polish cast-iron stoves and fireplaces.
