Teapot
Three fragments from a glazed black basalt stoneware teapot found on an archaeological excavation in Church Street, Isleworth, close to Kew Gardens. Black basalt stoneware was common from the mid 18th century when it was used to make especially teapots, jugs, cups. These were often decorated with engine-turned designs.
