Parasol
Pagoda shaped parasol with black silk cover edged with white silk and embroidered floral braid (green, blue and red on white) and layer of black net lace at top of braid and at bottom edge of white silk. Lined with white silk to edge of white silk. Two silk tassels hand from cord on handle. Straight ivory shaft, slightly turned folding ivory handle with carved end and carved ivory ferrule. Brass fittings, metal framework; whalebone ribs. Handstitched. Condition: lining eroding.
