Parasol
Parasol with violet/purple moiré silk cover with scalloped border of gathered self fabric. Knotted silk fringe at top and edge. Wooden shaft with carved ivory handle and ferrule. Metal, possibly brass fittings; metal stretchers with whalebone (?) ribs. Off-white silk lining has scalloped and pinked edges. Handstitched. Condition: cover is discoloured and splitting, also lining. Ferrule is chipped.
