Umbrella
Umbrella in black silk edged with off-white (cream) stripes [recovered (originally black alpaca) for use by donor's mother. Purchased in Lowther Arcade [see correspondence]. Straight cane shaft with crooked handle covered in vellum; brass band on handle; metal fittings and framework; spokes tipped with bone; cane ferrule with brass tip and base. Spoke marked: "PARAGON/S. FOX & CO LTD.". Ring at base of spokes marked: "Thos. BRIGG & SONS LTD. LONDON". Condition: one stretcher broken from rib; two tips broken.
