Key, trunk pass key
London's first trunk telephone line was opened with Brighton in 1884. A trunk circuit between London and Birmingham was opened by the National Telephone Company (NTC) in 1890. Trunk pass keys like this one were issued by the NTC to its subscribers for use in telephone kiosks.
