Bonnet

Woman's small un-dyed straw bonnet; trimmed with brown and grey (rust-tinted) feathers and brown (rust) coloured silk petersham ribbon; the brim is lined with brown (rust) coloured face-cloth.
Catalogue information from Veronica Main: Made of two plaits. Brilliant and 7-end improved plait. The quality of plait is very good. Hand stitched. The inner nape edge of the bonnet is lined with a banding of 2-purl whole straw plait. This is a very rare bonnet in excellent condition. Professionally made. Summer wear.
