Knickers, briefs
Damaris Evans graduated from Central St Martins with a degree in fashion print. She began her eponymous luxury underwear label in 2001 with a loan from the Princes Trust. Damaris soon made a name for herself internationally with her unusual 'avant-garde' embellished, underwear, often in delicate transparent fabrics. The business is based in Shoreditch.
Damaris' signature piece is this Bow knicker, with an extravagant bow tied at the back over revealed bottom cleavage. The style was quickly imitated by high street stores when it first appeared. This pair of briefs is made in pale pink silk chiffon. There is a darker pink crepe de chine bow on the left hand side. The legs are elasticated, and covered with pink satin ribbon. The upper elasticated edge is covered with velvet ribbon. The knickers were bought at Liberty.
