Jacket

Jacket, t-shirt and trousers designed by Preen. Concrete is owned by the Public Relations company Concrete, which positions itself at the cutting edge of fashion. This outfit was purchased from Concrete but Preen have their own boutique in Portobello Road. The label, which is owned by the designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bragazzi, is known for its urban styling and experimental approach

A dark grey cotton jacket with black ribbed jersey edgings. The LHS front has a vertical slit pocket, the panel ends above the waistline with a black ribbed edging that continues around the side and finishes at the back LHS. The RHS panel begins at the shoulder and continues to a length of about 80cm, the bottom seam is diagonally shaped with a point at the front edge. A wide flat band begins on the LHS of the front, becomes the neck collar and travels down the RHS front meeting the black ribbing on the back LHS. A decorative flange of black ribbing starts above the breast on the LHS, between the flat neck band and the panel and continues along the shaped seam on the back RHS, finishing mid-back.

Another shaped piece of ribbing begins higher up the back RHS shaped seam and continues up, over the shoulder seam and around the flat collar to the waistline on the RHS. The full length sleeves have a strip of black jersey from the underarm to the sleeve end. The back has a centre seam and a shaped panel on either side, the LHS panel ends in a diagonal shape around the waistline, the RHS panel continues to a longer seam with a diagonal shape. A grey label woven with a feather and black handwriting reads 'Preen'. A small white size label is woven with a black 'S'. A care label is attached to the LHS seam.
