Skirt

This white net skirt is based on a traditional Indian shape but its shortened length gives it a more contemporary feel. The gathered skirt has horizontal bands of square white mirrored sequins alternating with plain net. Both outer and inner layers have unfinished hems and are gathered on a narrow turned, white waistband.

Born in Delhi, Ashish trained at Middlesex University and Central St Martins. His work was championed by the forward-looking boutique Browns Focus who gave him his first order in 2001. His designs are made up in India in his own workrooms and are influenced by his strong Indian roots and his life and education in Western Europe, celebrating pop culture and kitsch, combining street wear and glamour.
