Paintings, Prints & Drawings — C. 1966
Dress Design
This is Mary Quant's design for a mini dress she wore when she received her O.B.E. in 1966. It seems to have been based on another gown as one annotation reads: 'Base on the short sleeve version, size as you made me before please it was perfect'. Other annotations reads: 'cut in', '1 putty (?) faced navy & top stitched navy', '2 Aubergine / putty', '3 blk / putty'.
