Brick, Lydion brick
A red clay brick of the Lydion type. A Lydion type brick measured approximately 1 x 1.5 Roman feet and was mostly commonly used for bonding courses in major stone buildings.
Graffito on one side with a roughly drawn head with radiating hair, drawn with the tips of the fingers. The hair may perhaps portray the head of the mythical monster, Medusa.
