Blowing iron, glassmaker's blowing iron
A glassmaker's blowing iron used at the Whitefriars Glassworks, Wealdstone. Molten glass was gathered onto the end of the blowing iron. The glassmaker would blow down the iron, checking the shape of the glass as it expanded.
