Printed Ephemera — 1951
The Royal Festival Hall, South Bank Exhibition
Souvenir postcard of the Festival of Britain, 1951, based on an oil painting by Stephen Bone. The image shows the South Bank exhibition, probably under construction, viewed from across the river at the north end of Waterloo Bridge. The Royal Festival Hall is shown, and the old brick shot tower, not yet capped by the radar antenna as it was to be for the exhibition.
