A copper alloy as coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts Roma, the female personification of Rome. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 104-111.
Obv: Laureate bust of Trajan, facing right, left shoulder draped. Obv inscription: IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC PM TR P COS V PP. Rev: Roma, seated left, holding Victory in her extended right hand and a vertical spear in the left. Rev inscription: SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI, SC in field.
