Peter Revell-Smith
Peter Revell-Smith was the Chairman of the Board of Governors for the Museum of London until 1998. This portrait was commissioned by Rupert Hambro, the Museum's Chairman between 1999 and 2005.
It took six sittings of two hours to produce and depict Mr. Revell-Smith at bust-length against an indistinct dark background. Before taking up the position of Chairman at the Museum, the sitter was involved in investment banking and is a former Vintry Common Councillor of the City of London.
