The Temple Bar Memorial
The Temple Bar Memorial, Fleet Street, c. 1890. This memorial was erected on the spot where Sir Christopher Wren's Temple Bar had stood at the junction of Fleet Street and The Strand until its removal in 1878. Temple Bar itself, after residing in Hertfordshire for 125 years, was re-erected in the City of London, at the entrance to Paternoster Square, in 2003.
