Coin, dupondius
A copper alloy dupondius of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin possibly depicts Felicitas, the female personification of prosperity. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 112-117.
Obv: Radiate head of Trajan, facing right. Obv inscription: Illegible. Rev: Felicitas, standing left, holding a caduceus (a staff held by messengers and heralds). Rev inscription: (SENATVS POPVLVSQVE ROMANVS)?, SC in exergue.
