Environmental mateiral, plant remains, grain
A mixture of spelt and emmer wheat, found burnt in a household fire. The wheat had been fully processed and was part of a large domestic store.
Although much of Roman London's food was produced locally, most of its grain was probably brought from East Anglia and Kent, and some may have been imported from the Continent.
