Card, valentine card
Handfinished valentine's card comprising a sheet of gilded and white lace paper heavily embossed with a design which includes a male and female figure flanking a central open area. Beneath the open area is applied a panel of paper handpainted with a lakeside scene. Below is applied a paper drape printed 'Firm and faithful, fond and true Such my Love I'll be to you'. One of a collection of cards stored within a scrapbook compiled by Jonathan King numbered 'Volume 1166'.
