Card, valentine card
Handfinished valentine's card comprising a white lace paper top sheet heavily embossed with a design of a classical 4 pillared archway surrounded by foliage. The central area is open revealing a handpainted image below of a cottage and stream. One of a collection of cards stuck within a scrapbook compiled by J.King numbered '37'. This card is applied to 'page 2' and headed '16 mo Lace hand painted valentines No 1 1856 457'.
