Paintings, Prints & Drawings — 1788-1833
Perspective View, through the Center [sic] of the new Accountant's Office in the Bank of England.
Perspective View, through the Center [sic] of the new Accountant's Office in the Bank of England. Presumably drawn after Sir John Soane's rebuilding that started in 1788: he remained the Bank's architect until 1833. His interiors were destroyed by Sir Herbert Baker's rebuilding in the 1920s and 1930s. Drawing possibly from Soane's architectural office.
