A bird's eye view of a proposed viaduct from St Sepulchre's Church to Hatton Garden. John Alexander Galloway, engineer; W M Higgins, architect. A rejected design for a Holborn Viaduct over the Fleet Valley (Farringdon Road). ""The line of street is intended to be widened to 80 feet. The viaduct which is to be 30 feet in width is to be used for Horses and Crriages. The Houses on each side of the Viaduct are to have a foot path of 8 feet, leaving a roadway sufficient for two carriages."
