The Dreadnought, Deptford
The Dreadnought, Deptford. In 1830 the Royal Navy presented the ex-warship HMS Dreadnought to the society that ran the hospital until then housed in the old HMS Grampus. The hospital moved ashore in 1870 but retained the name Dreadnought. Here the hulk is shown with awnings over the deck and a mast being used as a derrick.
