Temple Church. View of the Interior, from the Vestry Door. The church was founded in the 12th century for the Knights Templar, passed to the Knights Hospitallers in the 14th, was seized by Henry VIII but granted to the lawyers by James I in 1608. It was 'beautified' by Wren, heavily 'restored' in the c19th and suffered bomb damage in WWII. City: Fleet South.
