All Hallows the Great, Thames Street.
All Hallows the Great, (Upper) Thames Street. A Wren church, it was partly demolished in 1876 to allow for the widening of Queen Victoria Street, and largely demolished in 1893-4 when the pulpit (perhaps the one shown in this interior view) was removed to St Paul, Hammersmith, and the screen to St Margaret Lothbury. The tower was bombed in 1939, and the churchyard sold for redevelopment in 1969. City: Garlick.
