Card, valentine card

Handfinished valentine's card comprising a purple velvet front and back cover decorated with an applied gilded and white lace paper border and a cream silk fringe. Applied to the front are ivory letters reading 'Queen of my Heart'. Within is inserted a double page, one side printed with a love verse entitled 'St Valentine Cupid and Co'. the other page has diagonal cuts at the top and bottom through which a gold ribbon tab is inserted. As the tab is pulled a cut out card figure of a cupid emerges from the top cut. The front and back of the pages are stiffened with card coloured to resemble a book cover, the 'spine' marked 'Love's Journal'. The verse is published by Ernest Nister, the rest of the card is probably handfinished.
