Scale, balance scale
Brass balance scale with twin circular pans on a tripod stand. The scales were made by scale makers Doyle and Son of Borough in London. The company which manufactured scales, weights, measures and balances, was founded by John Doyle and the factory was in Newcomen Street. It was a family run business until the 1970s.
