Arnold's London Chronicle
Compiled by Richard Arnold, a London merchant trading with the Low Countries, the book was also called ‘The Customs of London’ because it contains a list of mayors and sheriffs, with brief historical notes covering the period from 1189-1502, a collection of charters, ordinances for the as size and weight of bread, municipal regulations, and other documents relating to London. It also contains the tolls of Antwerp, the differences between English and Flemish coinage, assorted recipes and the classic tale of 'The Nut-brown Maid'. The book was printed in Antwerp for the London market by Adriaen van Berghen.
