Card, valentine card
Valentine's card with cream lace paper border embossed with flower and vase design and central rectangular panel. Applied to the panel is a smaller rectangular shaped card of white and silver lace paper with applied decoration of two paper maidens surrounded by garlands. This smaller card opens in the centre to reveal an inner sheet of silver and white lace paper with central oval panel of cream satin decorated with a pink cotton velvet heart and surrounded by a garland of embossed paper flower and leaves. The card also has a handwritten message 'Though simple yet sincere am I O yield me thy pure heart and ever through life's changing way I will be my better part.' The panel is also flanked by garlands of embossed paper flowers and a paper cut out of a bird.
